Our administration testing requires rostering. Please see the instructions below to fill out the roster.
Enter the student's information in the provided template.
To import a roster:
Download the attached roster template. The template has sample students listed for instructional purposes, which will need to be deleted.
Enter the students' information.
- "student identifier" should be a unique ID. If creating an ID for this purpose, a good guideline is two letters representing your school (ex: TU for Toad University) followed by a minimum of four (4) characters. Ex: TU10010, TU10011, etc., for a total of six (6) characters. Students must enter the exact same ID (case sensitive) when entering the test.
- "class level/year/cohort" must be one of the following:
- "1" for CLA+ Entering Students / Year 1
- "2" for CLA+ Second Year Students / Year 2
- "3" for CLA+ Third Year Students / Year 3
- "4" for CLA+ Exiting Students / Year 4
- "5" for CLA+ Graduate Students
- "6" for CCRA+ Grade 6
- "7" for CCRA+ Grade 7
- "8" for CCRA+ Grade 8
- "9" for CCRA+ Entering Students / Grade 9
- "10" for CCRA+ Second Year Students / Grade 10
- "11" for CCRA+ Third Year Students / Grade 11
- "12" for CCRA+ Exiting Students / Grade 12
- "first/given name" is the student's first name
- "last/family name" is the student's last name
Extended Time and Text-to-Speech:
- For students requiring extended time (time and a half), fill "1" in the "time and a half" column.
- For students requiring double time, leave the "time and a half" column blank and fill "1" in the "double time" column.
- For students requiring text-to-speech, fill "1" in the "text to speech" column. This can be used with extended or double time as well.
- For students requiring extended/double time and TTS, place "1" in both columns.
- For standard time students, leave the cells blank.
Once the roster has been completed, save as a "CSV UTF-8 (comma delimited)" file.
If you are using Numbers for Mac, you will need to export your file to a .csv UTF-8 prior to uploading.
Here is how to do that:
- Open your document in Numbers for Mac.
- Select File.
- Click Export To > CSV.
- Click Advanced Options.
- Select UTF-8 as the choice for Text Encoding, select Next.
- Select the save location for the file.
- Click Export.
Upload Roster to Client Portal:
Login to the Client Portal at CAE.org and click on "Clients" in the upper right corner of the page.
On the next screen click "Go" under Roster.
On the next screen upload your completed roster by clicking "Choose File" and "Upload".
After uploading the file, you will see the file under "Roster History". If the upload is successful, you will see all your records have been created. If there is an error, it will also show in the Roster History.
*You will not see the upload immediately reflected in the testing platform.
